Due to its rough surface and strong ink absorption, corrugated paper is prone to problems such as uneven ink distribution and slow drying when using traditional inks. Water-Based Ink Printing Techniques
1.Equipment Adaptation:
Flexographic printing presses are mostly used for corrugated paper printing, with ink transfer via anilox rollers. Ensure the anilox roller line count matches the ink viscosity to avoid uneven ink transfer or cell clogging caused by excessively thick ink.
2.Parameter Control:
The viscosity of water-based ink should be maintained at 15–25 seconds (at 25℃), and the pH value stably at 8.0–9.0. If viscosity is too high, add an appropriate amount of deionized water for adjustment. If pH is too low, skinning is likely to occur, so amine-based substances should be used for regulation.
3.Operating Specifications:
Stir the ink thoroughly before printing to prevent precipitation. Seal the ink container promptly after printing to avoid skinning. leftover ink must be filtered to remove impurities before reuse to extend ink service life.
4.Environment Management:
The printing workshop temperature should be controlled at 20–25℃ and relative humidity at 50%–60% to accelerate ink drying and reduce “picking” issues.
